The players, who have become friends over the years and who both share the same... affliction decide to research a little more into their nature. It should be noted in the pre-game, both players died in battle. That’s when their Immortality was discovered. They were both discovered by an older Immortal who took them under his wing to train them... they did not learn everything they wanted because their teacher disappeared one night.
Sitting around a soldiers tavern, the 2 PC’s decide to try and find the fabled elves, figuring that they might know who and what they are. Their teacher warned them to stay clear of Meldryn as Immortals are hunted down by a group called the “White hand”. Immortals are captured and experimented on by this group... to what end, he does not know.

The PC’s hook up with one of the first caravans of the season reasoning it would be safer to travel the salt route in a larger group. The journey is unpleasant due to the early spring weather and is agonizingly slow. The players note and are curious about the lack of life seen along the road, no animals, and no tribesmen.
During the night on the 10th day, the group is attacked by a were-creature. The carnage is ... well horrific, and most of the people are either dead or running for their lives alone in the woods. The 2 PC’s give a good account for them self’s but ultimately fall to the beast. They wake the next day, wounds healed and no other survivors. A little rattled by the experience the PC’s go about burning what bodies they can find then making a run for Fort Taltos. They inform the Fort commander and volunteer to lead a patrol back to the site of the attack. No further incidents happen and no other information is gathered during the investigation. Xhost & Albanis decide to head back to Coranan to reassess their plans. End of session one.
